About Me

“Faith is the spark that ignites resilience and rebuilds hope.”

With more than 25 years of experience in Jewish education and community leadership, Shternie Rosenfeld has devoted her life to inspiring, teaching, and guiding people of all ages. Her teaching journey spans from preschoolers to seniors, blending depth of knowledge with warmth, accessibility, and creativity.

For 15 years, Shternie served as the director of the Chabad Fox Chapel Jewish Center, where she built a vibrant hub of Jewish life. She founded and ran Hebrew School, directed a six week summer camp program, led adult education, hosted holiday events, and created meaningful opportunities for community connection and growth.

Building on that foundation, she launched The Jewish Spark, a nonprofit organization dedicated to uplifting and engaging the Jewish community. Through The Jewish Spark, Shternie leads weekly Kabbalah classes, hosts guest lectures, organizes Shabbat dinners and holiday programs, and responds to the evolving needs of the community with purpose and care.

Shternie also serves as the Program Director of the Yonah Foundation, where she oversees and supports 38 community centers worldwide. In this role, she leads and empowers women to teach weekly Torah classes, fostering connection, learning, and leadership on a global scale.

Her educational experience includes teaching in Yeshiva Schools, Hillel Academy, and the Tzohar Seminary for post-high school women in the arts. She also tutors children one-on-one, bringing personalized attention and encouragement to each student.

Shternie’s dedication is fueled by her belief in the transformative power of Jewish learning and community. Whether in the classroom, around the Shabbat table, or on a global platform, her mission is to spark growth, connection, and joy in Jewish life.

It is with much humility, gratitude and bravery I share this video podcast.
Thank you to Tonia Chazanow and Human & Holy for this unique opportunity.
