Empowering Women Through Faith

By Shternie Rosenfeld

When I look at the world today, I see so many women carrying so much. We juggle family, work, relationships, and the endless demands of life. We face challenges both personal and communal, and often the weight feels heavy. And yet, when I look at women through the lens of faith, I see incredible strength. I see women who not only survive challenges but rise through them with courage and grace.

Faith is not just a belief tucked away in the heart. It is power. It is the deep knowing that G-d is with us in every moment, guiding us with love, and equipping us with everything we need to meet the day. When a woman lives with this awareness, she becomes unstoppable. She sees obstacles not as walls but as stepping stones. She finds strength she didn’t know she had. She becomes a light for everyone around her.

The woman of valor described in Eshet Chayil (Proverbs 31) is not celebrated because her life is easy. She is celebrated because she carries her life with wisdom, resilience, and faith. Her strength is not her own alone — it is her partnership with G-d that makes her extraordinary. That same spirit lives in every woman today, waiting to be awakened and embraced.  I’ve seen this truth in my own life. There were moments I felt crushed by circumstances beyond my control. But each time, faith lifted me higher. It reminded me that I was not alone, that nothing in my life was by chance, and that even the most painful experiences could become the soil from which new growth would emerge. That faith became the foundation that carried me forward, one step at a time, until I was able to rebuild with joy and purpose.

This is the gift I want every woman to discover: faith that empowers, faith that uplifts, faith that ignites. It doesn’t mean we won’t face difficulties — we will. But it means we don’t have to be defined or defeated by them.  Kabbalah teaches that the feminine energy — the Shechinah — is the indwelling presence of G-d in this world. Women carry within them a unique capacity to bring G-dliness into the everyday, to transform the ordinary into the holy. When women live with faith, they channel that divine presence into their homes, their communities, and the world.

To the women I teach and speak to, I often say: your faith is your superpower. It is not weakness to lean on G-d — it is strength. Because when you trust that nothing is random and everything is guided, you begin to walk through life with confidence, clarity, and grace.

My vision is to see women everywhere living this way: empowered by faith, able to meet life’s challenges with resilience, and able to shine with joy no matter what they face. Together, we can create a world where every woman becomes a beacon of strength, where faith transforms not just our own lives but the lives of everyone around us.
